Glenn Walter Schuster

Glenn W. Schuster was born on October 23, 1950 in Chicago, to George and Wilma (nee Walters, Kirnbauer) Schuster. He died Friday, June 30, 2017 in Arlington Heights.

For most of his life, he worked as a sheet metal worker for a variety of Chicago area firms. A lifelong Cubs and Blackhawks fan, Glenn was passionate about sports. On the local level, he was involved in coaching and the administration of youth baseball and hockey. He was a devoted father who was dedicated to supporting his two sons in any way he could. Glenn loved to spend time with family and friends and was loved by all.

Glenn is survived by his son, Steven Paul Schuster, previous wife, April Karlson; sister-in-law, Karen Schuster; nieces and nephews, George (Dara) Schuster, III and Jackie (Bo) Logan, Robin (David) Hamm, Paul (Susan) Roth, III and Ryan (Megan) Roth; many great- nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Carol Roth

He was preceded in death by son, Nathan Schuster; his parents, brother, George Schuster, brother-in-law, Paul Roth and step-father Walter Kirnbauer.

Visitation Friday, July 7, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, Il 60004. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.
