Harry L. Mecartney

Harry Leonard Mecartney was born October 11, 1957 in Boston, MA to Malcolm and Joyce (nee Marshall) Mecartney. He died October 26, 2019 in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Mecartney was the owner and operator of Discount Printing in Highland Park for 20 years and later worked for Fields Chrysler Jeep in Glenview for over 10 years. Harry loved riding and watching motocross and spending time outdoors with his dog Lennon. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his children, and was loved by all.

Harry is survived by his children, Alexander Mecartney and Emily (Cameron Peldo) Mecartney; mother, Joyce Mecartney; siblings, David Mecartney and Bonnie (Don) Bassette; several nieces and nephews; and former spouse Eileen Mecartney.

Visitation Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 3:00 pm until the 7:00 pm Funeral Service at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Private interment will be later at Pine Hill Cemetery in Peterborough, NH.
