Jack J. Kearns, 84 of Arlington Heights was born July 23, 1932 in Lincoln, Nebraska to the late Allen and Mary (nee Poe) Kearns and passed away July 24, 2016. Jack was the beloved husband of Barbara J. (nee Herr) Kearns; loving father of Alan P. (Debra) Kearns and the late Judy A. (late Dennis) Doran; cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Stephen) Kareka and Brian Doran and great-grandfather of Jacob, Brianna, Anthony and Tyler. Jack was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lincoln, Nebraska and a letter carrier for the United States Post Office in Mt. Prospect, retiring after 29 years of service. Visitation will be Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 4-8 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights and Friday, July 29 at First United Methodist Church of Palatine, 123 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to First United Methodist Church of Palatine appreciated.
