James F. Gaughan

Of Arlington Heights

James F. Gaughan was born July 6, 1955 in Evanston to James F., Sr., and Virginia (nee Principe) Gaughan. He died October 11, 2017 at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington.

Jim was ordained a Deacon for the Archdiocese of Chicago in May 20, 2001 and faithfully served the people of St. Edna.  He was a lifelong Cubs fan. 

James is survived by his wife Sharon (nee Persinger) Gaughan; his children Bobby Gaughan, Scott (fiancé Meghan) Gaughan and Tracy (Dan) Ellegood; his mother Virginia; his siblings Kathy (Dave) Krakowski, Eileen (Dick) Mattison and Tommy (Laura) Gaughan and by many nieces and nephews. 

James is preceded in death by his father James, Sr.

Visitation Monday, October 16, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL and Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at St. Edna Catholic Church from 12:00 PM until the time of mass at 1:00 PM.  Entombment will be private.
