Janet M. Delaney

Janet M. Delaney, 97 of Arlington Heights was born May 15, 1925 in Milton, MA and passed away January 23, 2023. Janet was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Delaney; loving mother of Robert (Colleen) Delaney, Jane (William) McConnell, Kathleen (late James) Ward, Richard (Dawn) Delaney, Bartholomew (Linda) Delaney, Eugene (Gayle) Delaney, Joseph (Mary Beth) Delaney and the late Barbara Jayne Delaney; cherished grandmother of 17; great-grandmother of 19 and dear sister of the late George Burke, Paul Burke and Barbara Burke. Janet retired after 25 years with Arlington Heights School District 25, and was a member of Our Lady of the Wayside Parish for over 50 years. She enjoyed the many friendships she made in the Chicago area, and in Ana Maria Island, FL. She will be missed for her keen sense of humor, as well as her passion for Sunday morning political programs, and a well-made Irish Coffee, all of which helped keep her vibrant. Memorial visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell Avenue in Arlington Heights.
