Janice Ann Wasmer

Janice Ann Wasmer, 90, was born on April 25, 1933, in Beaver Dam, WI. She died peacefully surrounded by her daughters on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at The Village at Victory Lakes, in Lindenhurst, Illinois.

Janice worked as a Purchasing Manager for Oce-Bruning in Mt. Prospect and Itasca, IL. for fourteen years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of the Wayside Women's Club and served on many committees. She worked with PADs and delivered Meals on Wheels for Wheeling Township.

Janice enjoyed gardening, playing golf, traveling, wintering in Florida, and was the family genealogist and historian. Her greatest joy was her beloved grandchildren.

She was the cherished wife of the late Eugene Wasmer; loving mother of Mary Beth (Michael) Kay, Susan (Michael) Rohl, and Linda Bauer, and devoted grandmother of Alyssa and Jonathan (Kayla Beverley) Kay, Derrick and Madeline (Ryan Barta) Rohl, and Grant and Andrew Bauer. She was the fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Her survivors also include her sister, Barbara (William) Fagerstrom, and brother Fredrick (Susan) Rosenmeier.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Wasmer, her parents, Robert Rosenmeier and Edith (nee Roller) Rosenmeier Gilsinger, and her brother Robert Meier.

Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 pm Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004 and on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 10 am until time of funeral Mass at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 South Mitchell Avenue, Arlington Heights, IL. Interment following at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine, IL.
