John Rocco BaroneOf Arlington HeightsJohn Rocco Barone was born on June 24, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to Philip and Mary (nee Meo) Barone. He died Thursday, April 30, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Phil.John Barone, loving father and devoted husband survived by wife, Mary and his three sons, John, Michael and Ross.John was an exuberant grandfather to his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He was tireless with his grandchildren, he would play any game, crawl any floor, throw any ball, swim, golf, ride the rapids, climb a trail, and play Rummy 500. He'd do whatever they wanted to do, go anywhere they wanted to go and do so with gusto. Simply, John was totally absorbed and devoted to his grandchildren.John spent over 30 years in the securities industry, as a trader, boss, mentor, and friend. Whether customer or competitor, he had the respect and friendship of an entire industry. Many of those he met in the industry became lifelong friends. John was retired for the last 25 years so, he had plenty of time to indulge in all his retirement dreams. An avid Cub fan, golfer, gin player and Arizona lover, he and Mary spent countless hours at these activities while relishing the company of their many lifelong friends with whom they traveled the world.John lived a wonderful and full life. As one of his friends said, "my buddy with a hard shell and a heart of gold". Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Celebration of his Life will follow starting at 2:00 pm at Rolling Green Country Club, 2525 E.
