John Rahn, Jr.

John Rahn, Jr. was born on January 13, 1981 in Arlington Heights, Illinois to John and Mary (nee Irwin) Rahn. He died Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Rahn worked as a software designer for JDS Industries for 13 years. John had a great love of guitars and music in general. He played both acoustic and electric guitars in his spare time. He also had a fondness for bike riding. He was an avid Chicago Sports Fan.

John is survived by his mother, Mary; his sisters, Amanda Rahn, and Megan (Peter) Shedivy, and his brother, Jeffrey (Kim) Rahn; his nephew John, and his nieces Harper and Hayden; also survived by his grandmother, Patricia Rahn, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and his extended family.

He was preceded in death by father, John; his uncle, Jim; and his grandparents Thomas and Maxine Irwin, and Henry Rahm.

Visitation from 1:00 pm until time of funeral service at 2:00 pm, Friday, August 14, 2020 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. John's family invites all guests to wear their favorite Chicago team jersey/sweater. They will be clad in Cubs and Bears attire. Interment Memory Gardens, Arlington Heights, Illinois.
