Of Arlington Heights
John J., “Jack” Schultz was born on December 27, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to Bernard and Pearl (Sanders) Schultz. He died Tuesday, June 26, in Arlington Heights, after a courageous battle with melanoma.
Jack founded his own real estate appraising company, "Jack Schultz and Associates", and he then went to work at the I.R.S., retiring as a senior real estate appraiser in 2015. A life long Catholic, he is a member of St. Edna Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. He enjoyed golf, White Sox baseball, bowling, travel, and Bears football.
Jack was a jokester. He loved nothing more than making people smile and laugh. Jack fought long and hard, and never once did you hear him complain about his circumstances. He was an inspiration to all around him about how to handle what life hands you graciously. Jack will be greatly missed by so many, but he will never be forgotten.
Jack is survived by his spouse of 46 years Elizabeth (Busz); sons, Jason (Andrea), Jeffery (Jaime), Matthew (Wendy), and Michael (Heather) Schultz; grandchildren, Leah, Logan, Kendall, Eden, Emelia, and Henry Schultz; siblings Robert (Marlene) Schultz, Carole (John) Sullivan, Bernard (Judith) Schultz; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law John Sullivan; sister-in-law Judith Schultz; nephew James Schultz, his parents, and his parents-in-law.
