Joseph Boyko

Born September 30, 1935 in Chicago to Carl and Pauline (nee Wojtovic). Proud graduate of Carl Schurz High School, class of 1954. Joe worked in the printing and paper industry for many years. Joe was an avid swimmer for over 40 years at Olympic Pool (now ARC) in Arlington Heights and a lifelong Chicago White Sox fan. He is survived by his wife, Karen (nee Williams), whom he married on May 7, 1960; his 3 daughters, Nancy (Todd) Swalboski, Carol (Paul) Richards, and Kristen (Monty) Payne; and beloved grandchildren, to whom he was Papa Joe, Kaylee, Emma, Liam, Jack, and Nate. A visitation for Joe will be held on Sunday, January 12, from 12 Noon – 5:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd. Arlington Heights, IL and Monday, January 13 at St. Mary Church 10 N. Buffalo Grove Rd. Buffalo Grove, IL from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at St Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, 8851 W Higgins Rd, Chicago, IL 6063. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude and Shriners Children’s Hospital.
