Joseph Thomas Cappello was born October 5, 1944 in Chicago to Joseph and Irene (nee Golowski) Cappello. He died April 23, 2023 at Ascension Resurrection Hospital in Chicago.
Joe was a Chicago Police Officer for 42 years and security at Old St. Pat’s in Chicago for over 20 years. He loved to fish and take trips up to Northern Wisconsin. Joe enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He was a good husband and friend to everyone, he will be deeply missed.
Joseph is survived by his wife Sylvia Jean (nee Santini) Cappello; his grandson Joseph Thomas Cappello IV and great grandson Dominick Cappello.
Joe is preceded in death by his sons Joseph Thomas (Barbara) Cappello III and Anthony Thomas Cappello and by his parents.
Visitation Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment private.
