Kenneth Paul Swanick (Ken) was born on July 9, 1963 in Perth Amboy, NJ. He passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL in the presence of his loving family.

Ken was a very successful entrepreneur with his own companies over the years, and he also worked for Newell Rubbermaid as an Engineer. He was an active member and usher at Our Lady of the Wayside parish. Ken loved spending time with his family, local sports, cooking, travel, the ocean, and fishing.

Ken is survived by his wife Laura (Pinchot) Swanick; his sons Joseph and twins Jacob & Ryan; his father Lawrence P. Swanick (Maria Virella); his mother Fay Nicholson and step-father Charles Nicholson; his step-daughter, Megan and step-son Patrick; his sister Joni Traficante and her children Sammi, Jackie, and Vinny, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins who were an important part of his life.

Visitation Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd.,

1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights, IL 60004 and Monday, June 18, 2018 from 8:30 am until the 9:30 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights, IL 60005.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in care of the funeral home, may be made for the Swanick children to the Kenneth Paul Swanick Memorial Foundation or a charity of your choice in Ken's memory
