Kimiyo instilled in all of us a deep appreciation for exploration, both of the world around us and the simple joys of everyday life. She loved to travel and passed that on to our entire family. Through her travels and the stories she shared, we were all endowed with a lasting spirit of curiosity and adventure that continues to guide us. Some of our most cherished memories were created around food, from the care she put into making sushi for special occasions to the blessing of her sukiyaki to so many family gatherings at her favorite restaurants. She showed us that true wealth lies in a generous heart, standing with family through good times and bad, and the comfort of shared laughter over a delicious meal. Her kindness and generosity will be missed but her insistence that we always do the right thing no matter the circumstance will be with us forever.
Visitation from 2:00pm – 4:00pm, Thursday, June 19, 2025 at the Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois.
