He died Monday, December 21, 2015 at Northwest Community Hospital - JourneyCare Hospice in Arlington Heights, Illinois.Mr. Nelson was a butcher and manager for Jewel Foods for many years before retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Des Plaines Elks Lodge and Sons of Norway. He served in the Army, stationed in Germany.Lloyd is survived by his children Gail (Paul) Claytor, Craig (Kathy), and Jeff (Dina) Nelson; his grandchildren Bryan, Mark, Tyler, Teagan and, Troy Nelson, Chris (Kelly), Jay (Juliet) Claytor, and, Michelle Claytor; and his great-grandchildren Caitlin, Colin and Kalica Claytor, and, Morgan Anderson; his sister, Dawn (Sonny) Rathunde; and his dear friend, Patricia Rascia.He was preceded in death by wife, Sharon P. Nelson; his parents and his brother, Vernon Nelson.Visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Monday, December 28, 2015 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N.
