Louis Jakus, 74, of Arlington Heights, was born April 29, 1939, in Hungary, to the late Lajos and Agnes Jakus, and passed away peacefully September 19, 2013, at Northwest Community Hospital, in Arlington Heights. He was the beloved husband of Ava Jakus, nee Kelemen; loving father of Gabrielle Pawelko, Michelle (Jeff) Johnsen, and Andrew (LIz) Jakus; proud grand father of Matthew and Jonathan Pawelko; caring brother of John (the late Manyi) Jakus, and Julia (the late Imre) Kata; kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Mr. Jakus served in US Army, was a member of Hungarian (Magyar) Club, and a member of the Masonic Wayfarers Lodge 1001 in Evanston.
