Lou was one of those rare larger than life guys. The news of his death triggered so many memories. I hope someday to share some of them. He gave many people opportunities they would have never had, and supported their careers. He offered friendship, trust and loyalty, and put up with an awful lot of shenanigans. So many of us owe him a great deal. My wife and I certainly do. He was uncannily prescient and forward thinking. So it should also be said that the technical field of Minimally Invasive Surgery profited greatly from his efforts and insight. He was at the helm during what was a revolution in technologies that has benefitted mankind.We extend our sincerest sympathy to Heidi (den mother to all the reps), and sons Robert and Thomas...
