Marilyn Ann McCabe was born on August 28, 1970, in Arlington Heights, Illinois to James and Mary K. (nee Sullivan) McCabe. She died Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Park Ridge Healthcare Center in Park Ridge.
Marilyn was an employee of Jewel Foods for over 25 years. She was very involved in the Special Olympics, including being a member of the 1999 US soccer team for the Special Olympics World Games. Her family is so proud of her.
Marilyn was the heart and soul of the McCabe family. She could make a friend everywhere she went with her quick smile and “When’s your birthday?” She loved to celebrate holidays, birthdays, and generally any excuse to have fun. Christmas was her favorite time of the year; she started to listen to Holiday music in July. Marilyn maintained that innocence her whole beautiful life.
Marilyn will be joining her angel (Dad), Mom, brother, Bob, and nephew, Kyle in heaven. You can be sure there will be a big celebration including a Clancy Brothers sing-along to welcome her! Rest in peace, sweet angel.
She is survived by her siblings James E. (Elaine) McCabe, Ann M. Tovella, Carol M. (Dan) Zielinski, John P. (Virginia) McCabe, and Jeanne M. (Michael) Borta; and her many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am until time of funeral Mass at 11:30 am, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell Avenue, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Interment following at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Illinois.
