Marjorie P. Smith, 94, was born on December 8, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska to Richard W. and Ruth (nee Rider) Good. She died Monday, February 24, 2020 at HarborChase in Long Grove, Illinois.

Marjie was the epitome of a mother who found tremendous joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marjorie is survived by her children Melinda (Scott) Hoyne, Megan (Thomas) Brandt, Stephen (Lynn) Smith, Margo (Dan) Lange, Mavis (Tom) Langan, Christopher (Bobbi) Smith, Millicent Taylor and Michele (Gus) Warren; her 24 Grandchildren, Adam, Mary, Megan, Lindsey, Stephanie, Rory, Ashley, Colin, Christian, Whitney, Jordan, Brandon, Kevin, Kyle, Connor, Tom, Patrick, Colleen, Danny, Jack, Tyler, Cassidy, Victoria and Colette; her 16 great- grandchildren, Christian, Carter, Finn, Brooks, Lena, Anders, Molly, Ronan, Dagny, Vivienne, Ivy, John Paul, Thomas, Giuliana, Elizabeth and Margaret; as well as her brother, Richard (Karol) Good.

She was preceded in death by her spouse of 60 years, Dr. George Smith; her son Dennis (Jane) Smith, daughter-in-law Victoria Smith, great-grandson Tommy Axel (son of Colin and Christine Brandt) as well as her parents.

Visitation Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (four blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers Monday, March 2, 2020 at 9:15 am from the funeral home processing to St. Mary Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, Illinois for a Funeral Mass at 10:00am. Interment will be private.
