Martha Wade was born August 20, 1934 in York, SC to Henry and Martha (nee Hogue) Whitener. She passed away November 17, 2023 at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights.
Prior to her retirement in 1994, Martha worked for Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Equifax, Armco Steel, Northern Virginia Homeowners Association and KCC Incorporated.
Martha is survived by her husband Terry Wade; her son Brian (Connie) Wade; her grandchildren Kathleen, Billy, Colleen and Matthew; and by her brother James (Adele) Whitener.
She is preceded in death by her son Wesley (Tracy) Wade; her siblings Luanne (late Kenneth) Carlson and William (Crystal) Whitener and by her parents.
Visitation Saturday, December 16, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights, 302 N. Dunton Avenue, Arlington Heights from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights.
