May StoesserOf KildeerMay Stoesser was born June 4, 1916 in G"teborg, Sweden to John and Esther (nee Kylen) Larson. She passed away peacefully at home on August 31, 2015.She was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Chicago and current member of Edgebrook Lutheran Church. She was a long-time member and three time past president of the Edgebrook Woman"s Club; and past president and member of Delta Kappa Gamma International Society for Key Women Educators. May was dedicated to her family and friends, a world traveler, an avid bridge player, a lover of the arts, camping, bowling, passionate educator and an embracer of life and laughter.May is survived by her children Katherine Kylen, Irene Stoesser, John (Dorian) Stoesser and Barbara (Craig) Mengarelli; her grandchildren Peter, John, Andrew, Karla, Elena, Erik and Stephanie; her great granddaughters Andrea, Megan and Ana Mae.May is preceded in death by her husband John Stoesser; her siblings Hugo, Stig, Ruth and Lilly.Visitation Wednesday September 2, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. In state Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 9:30 AM until the time of funeral service at 10:30 AM at Edgebrook Lutheran Church, 5252 W. Devon, Chicago, IL.
