Melvin R. Thomas, 90 of Wheeling was born January 22, 1926 in Amherst, Virginia to Robert and Virginia (nee Mitchell) Thomas and passed away January 14, 2017. Melvin was the beloved husband of the late Anna; loving father of Wanda (Greg) Wallace, Patricia Kapuscinski, Mel (Colette) Thomas, Randy Thomas and David Thomas; cherished grandfather of 10; great-grandfather of 4 and dear brother of Helen Melton and Lucille Sullivan. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 3-8 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights and Wednesday, January 18 at Faith Lutheran Church, 431 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service 11:00 AM. Entombment Memory Gardens Cemetery.
