

Michael J. Ricard, 85 of Wheeling was born July 22, 1939 in Chicago to the late William Ricard and Clare Tomal and passed away June 7, 2025. Michael was the beloved husband of Andrea nee Osiecki, for 63 years; loving father of Lynnae (Mark) Derry, the late Michael and Todd. Cherished grandfather of Winston and Maxwell; dear brother of William and Paul, and the late Clare (late Jim) Andres, and the late Cathleen (late David) Dohmeier; and an awesome uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Mike was a devoted family man. His family was always his number one priority. In addition, he was an avid golfer, world traveler and collector of coins and stamps. Mike enjoyed reading and history, especially books about military history and Abraham Lincoln. He loved watching all sports. He was an all-around handy man in carpentry, plumbing and working on cars. He graduated from Holy Trinity High School in Chicago, received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois and his Master's degree from Webster University. Michael served with pride in the United States Marine Corps from June 1960 - June 1964. After a very successful career in manufacturing, he spent his retirement teaching wood-shop to disadvantaged youth. He was loved by all and will be missed.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 9:30 AM, followed by a memorial Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Alphonsus Liguori Church. Interment will be private in All Saints Cemetery.
