Mike was the beloved husband of 55 years to Elisabeth (Barecchia); father of Scott, Laura (Jerry) and Sarah; proud grandfather to Daniel, Lindsey, Alice and Zoe; brother of Elizabeth Doxy (Melvin) and uncle to Megan, David, Katie and Jenny.
Mike was an enthusiastic cyclist who built, refurbished and sold many customized bikes, he also rode at least 30 mile a day for over 40 years. He was a regular participant in the Chicago Wheelmen Club’s annual ride to Wisconsin. A self-taught computer technician, Mike ran his own Information Technology consulting company for many years. He will be remembered for his love of politics, archeology, paleontology, fossil hunting, and astrophysics.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private gathering will be held on June 26, 2020 at Memory Gardens in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
