Orville K. Kruse was born on July 10, 1926 in Des Plaines, Illinois to Conrad and Caroline (nee Winkelman) Kruse. He passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at Northwest Community Hospital Hospice surrounded by the love of his family.
Mr. Kruse was best known as the proprietor of Kruse’s Tavern and Restaurant in Mt. Prospect, currently Mrs. P and me. He was also known for his great stories and many jokes. He served in the Army during WWII and served as a volunteer fireman for the Mt. Prospect fire department.
Orville is survived by his children, Judy (the late Bob) Atkinson, Peggy (William) Thedorf; grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley, Brittany and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Aiden, and Liam; siblings, Robin (Raymond) Montgomery, Holly (Tom) Balbier, and Candie (Brett) Burgess; long-time Army buddy, George Sweeti and his cat Sweetie.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine M. (nee Koeppen) Kruse; siblings Rodger (the late Adeline) Kruse and Wayne (the late Marlene) Kruse; and his parents.
Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, November 26, 2018 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, Illinois, funeral service 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 100 S. School Street, Mt. Prospect, Illinois.
Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights, IL.
