Patrice, I am very sad that you have been taken from this world. It was nearly 10 years ago when I met you on Cape Cod. You, Greg, and Jack were here in the cold fall bound and determined to find a house here for you all to enjoy in summer. Hockey season had only just started, and all three of you were so fiercely and rightly proud of your Blackhawks who went on to win the Stanley Cup that season. You knew exactly what you wanted in your Cape Cod home and we found a truly beautiful home and location for you. I know you had wonderful times here on the Cape with your men, and that makes me very happy. You were a kind, sweet and friendly person and I can only wish that you had many more seasons to come. I have met a lot of couples and families in my 31 years as a Realtor, but I have simply never met any family more obviously in love or more devoted to each other than the Troyers. Sweet Patrice.....some memories I have of you:
The first time I met you I was visiting Joe from Nashville and we were going out to dinner so I could meet you and your mom, Grace. But before we went to dinner, you had to handle a situation for your mom at the bank. She was working there at the time and someone was not treating her well. You went in there and straightened things out. You were determined to make sure no one messed with your mom. I loved that loyalty and fierceness about you!
My bachelorette party with just you and me at Uncle Julio's in the city. I had only been living here a short while and didn't have many close friends and you said I deserved a bachelorette "party" to you took me out. That meant so much to me.
You dancing to "Love Shack" at our reception. You loved that song so much! Every time I hear it I think of you!
The pregnancy losses we suffered at almost the exact same time before becoming mothers for the fist time together. Jack was born about 6 weeks after Max and how fun was that? Jack would come over a few days a week and Ala would watch him, Max and Maddie. It was great they were able to spend so much time together growing up.
Finding out you had just opened a gym in Glenview which was a mile from where we were building a house. We were thrilled to be living so close to Dreams. Eventually Maddie would become one of your gymnasts! What a wonderful coincidence! Oh how Maddie loved gymnastics thanks to her Auntie Patrice! It really shaped who she is today.
You were loyal, loving, dedicated, smart, determined and fair. I will keep your memory alive in my heart.

I'm so sorry to hear this news! Patrice was a big part of Jaqui's life with the Park District and then Prospect gymnastics. She worked the girls hard, but also had lots of fun with them! My deepest sympathy!
