Peter Wrehde

Peter Wrehde was born on April 26, 1940, in Germany to Heinrich and Grete (nee Sandovs) Wrehde. He passed away on January 7, 2024, at home with his loving wife Abby & family by his side.

Peter worked as a lithographer in the printing industry until his retirement in 2001.

He was a member of the Chicago Kickers Soccer Club and BSV Schutzenverein Chicago

His interests and hobbies included Tennis, Target shooting, Gardening, Golf, Skiing, Traveling, and spending winters in Florida

Peter is survived by his spouse of 57 years Apollonia “Abby” Wrehde (nee Mueller); his daughters Andrea (Dan) Riedesel and Audrey Wrehde; his grandchildren Jonathan, Peter Michael, Alexandria, Mark, Mila and Fayez; his sister Marlis (Erwin) Barke; as well as his dear and devoted friends Brandon & Matt Toler; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Visitation Monday, January 15, 2024, from 11:00am until the time of the Funeral Services at 1:00pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
