Richard Allen Grove

Richard Allen Grove, 83, was born July 1, 1940 in Chicago, IL to Steven and Lillian (nee Cook) Grove. He died Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Atria Park of Glen Ellyn.

Richard was a self-employed electrical contractor and former owner of Allen Electric. In retirement he devoted much of his time volunteering at the Willow Creek Community Church food pantry. He had a passion for sports and was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs. He also took pleasure in fishing, sailing and long solitary walks.

A devoted family man, Richard is survived by his children, Rich (Natasha) Grove Jr., Kyle (Melissa) Grove, and Erin (Jeff) Schwartz; his grandchildren, Brittany, Evan, Michelle, Conner, Delaney, Carson, Avery, and Keira Grove, Calvin, Macy, and Ryan Schwartz; his great grandchildren, Elliott and Mercy Grove; and his siblings, Nancy, Robert, Ronald, and Steven Grove Jr.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service to honor Richard's life will be held at Fairview Memorial Park, 900 N. Wolf Rd. in Northlake, Illinois on March 16, 2024, at 11:30 am. Guests should assemble inside the cemetery gates.
