Bob was born in Evanston, Illinois on August 13, 1959, to parents William and Regina (nee Egger) Krewer, the fifth of eight closely-knit siblings.
A proud graduate of the University of Illinois, Bob bled orange and blue as a lifelong fan. He dedicated 19 years to the National Futures Association before spending 23 years as Membership Director at CME Group.
Bob found happiness in spending time outdoors, whether biking, hiking, or walking anywhere he could. He never missed an opportunity to cheer on his Illini at tailgates (or any other excuse to drive to Champaign), but always in the company of his friends whom he cherished.
Bob’s greatest joy came from being a father. He was an involved (and passionate) coach for both his daughters’ soccer and softball teams. After being promoted to Grandpa, he loved teaching his grandchildren to ride their bikes and was a constant presence at their activities. Some of his favorite moments from the past year included taking Haley and Lily to Disney World and helping Graham settle into his new home. His daughters and grandchildren were his greatest pride.
Bob is survived by his daughters, Kelly (Jon) Sedey and Fay (Tyler) Faught; his grandchildren, Haley, Lily, and Graham; his siblings, Bill (Sue), Ken (Carol), Jerry (Diana), Kathie, John (Lisa), Ray, and Beth (Nick); and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Jack.
