Robert E. Puls was born on December 4, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Olga (nee Selig) Puls. Taken to Heaven May 27, 2022 at home with family by his side.

Loving Husband to Shirley Puls (nee Lohrentz) for 70+ years, beloved Dad to Sheryl (late Steven) DeGrave and Robert Scott Puls, cherished Grandpa to Daniel (Nancy) DeGrave, Dylan (Monika) DeGrave, and Cory DeGrave, blessed Great-Grandpa to Sofia and Mia DeGrave, dear brother-in-law of Carol and Bud Wiemann and Carlton and Jan Lohrentz, and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, dear friends and neighbors.

Honorably discharged from Army after serving in the Korean War in Okinawa, and Germany.

Graduate of Luther Institute 1946.

Owner of R. Puls Greenhouses, Morton Grove for 27 years. Retired Arlington Heights Park District employee at Lake Arlington. Bob and his wife loved to travel, visiting all 50 states, and was an AVID fan of all his grandsons' sporting events. He took great pride in his lawn and flowers and enjoyed his John Deere tractor.

Visitation Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004 and on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 12:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 West Olive Street, Arlington Heights, IL. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.

Memorials may be given to Macular Degeneration Research in care of the family, or to St. Peter's Lutheran Church Arlington Heights in Bob's name.
