

Ronald Lloyd "Mac" McCarthyOf Arlington HeightsRonald Lloyd McCarthy was born on October 28, 1937 in Coloma, Michigan to John and Carol (nee Evens) McCarthy. He passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 in Arlington Heights.In 1961, Ron began work as a Manufacturer"s Sales Representative and Regional Sales Manager for Halo Lighting, Inc. in Detroit, Michigan. In 1967, Ron and Barb moved to Arlington Heights, Illinois, and from 1967 to 1976 Ron was National Sales Manager and then Vice President of Sales for Halo Lighting, Inc. In 1976, Ron started Juno Lighting, Inc. with two other partners. Ron was Vice President of Juno from 1976 until his retirement in 1991.Ronald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara (nee Schuelke); his daughters, Kelly (Michael) Smith, Karen McCarthy and Kathryn (Kent) Wachlin; his grandchildren, Michele (Adam) Lubbert, Bryan (Kelly Weber) Smith, Patrick Smith, Erik (Leah) Wachlin, Jacob Wachlin and Luke Wachlin; and his brother, John Patrick "Pat" (Becky) McCarthy. Ron is also survived by his extraordinary and loving caregivers Leo Porticos, Ben Concepcion, Stephen Nodque, and Harvey Chua.He was preceded in death by his parents.Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, April 13, 2015 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N.
