

Rudolf Heinz Frank was born on January 29, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois. Son of Rudolf Karl Frank and Anna (nee Brandl) Frank. He passed away on November 4, 2022 at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
Mr. Frank proudly served his County in the United States National Guard from 1959- 1965. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University before achieving a Graduate Degree in Banking from the University of Wisconsin in 1972. Rudolf worked his way up through the ranks of the banking world. From Management Trainee, Assistant Cashier, Operations Officer, Investment Officer, Assistant Vice President Algemene Bank Nederland-LaSalle National Bank, Chicago 1961-1972, to eventually earning the title of Vice President, 1972-2001.
Rudolf was a Member of Chicago Council Foreign Relations, Bond Club of Chicago, Union League Club, Schwaben Athletic Club and Schwaben Verein.
Schwaben Athletic Club has been an integral part of Rudy’s life. He was known as one of the dinosaurs. He became a member in July 1961. Became Treasurer starting in 1975 and continued mostly on and some years off until 2012 where he continued on as Assistant Treasurer until present. Program Book Chairman 1981-1989. Delegate for German Day Committee for many years and a member of the Finance Committee until present.Awards; Mr. Schwaben AC 1978, 2018, Award for his Outstanding Contributions in the Construction of the Clubhouse 1983, Illinois State Soccer – Meritorious Service Award 2001, Schwaben AC Honorary Member 2002. Award for Continuous Dedication and Service Schwaben Athletic Club 2007, Thea Award 2014.
Rudy is survived by his wife Erna (nee Miklitsch) Frank; his children Karl Frank, Lisa (Matthew) Bucholc and Nikki (Kristen) Frank; his grandchildren Alec, Rachel, Jaclyn, Leo and Andrew. His family was his number one priority. Rudy was well loved, admired and respected by family friends and colleagues.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation Friday, November 18, 2022 from 3:00 PM until the time of funeral service at 7:00 PM at Glueckert funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment private.
