Ruth LalishOf Arlington HeightsRuth Blanche Hartman Lalish, age 91, 63 Year Resident of Arlington Heights, died August 30, 2016, at the Lutheran Home and Services in Arlington Heights, IL. She was born in Chicago, Feb. 21, 1925, the daughter of Paul and Anna Stasia (Cerny) Hartman.During WWII, Ruth contributed to the war effort by working in the office at Douglas Aircraft Company from 1943-1945. On March 22, 1947, she married George Walter Lalish, Jr. They moved to Arlington Heights in 1953, where George worked most of his career for the Village of Arlington Heights. George died April 18, 2003.Their union produced three daughters: Twins Georgette R. (Harry) Ochs, of Savoy, IL, and Georgine R. Panfil, of Peyton, CO; and Joanne E. (George) Danker, of Olathe, KS.She was the cherished grandmother of Rebecca (John) Pick of Chippewa Falls, WI; Sara (Simon) McCauley of Clover, SC; Michael (Amy) Ochs of Denver, CO; Jill Kamienski of Colorado Springs, CO; Brian (Fiona) Danker of Leawood, KS; Gregory Kevin Danker of Olathe, KS; Geoffrey (Kathryn) Danker of Los Angeles, CA. She was the beloved great-grandmother of Madeline, Dylan, Annaliese, Jack, Alec, Alice.Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Robert P. Hartman.Ruth was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Arlington Heights, for more than 63 years. She retired from Western Electric in Rolling Meadows.She and her family greatly appreciated the care she received from Brightstar Care home healthcare aides, who allowed her to remain in her home the past 4 " years. She and her family also appreciated the wonderful care she received from the skilled staff at Northwest Community Hospital and Lutheran Home. Her last few months were overseen by JourneyCare Hospice.Visitation from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Service at Noon, Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N.
