S. Naseem Anjam

S. Naseem Anjam of Arlington HeightsS. Naseem Anjam was born on November 18, 1954, in Rangoon, Burma, to Basheer and Najma (nee Farwell) Anjam. She died Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. Naseem is survived by her spouse of 24 years, Joseph Hess. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Saleem Anjam; and sister, Shameem Sierra.Naseem worked as a self-employed attorney. She graduated from DePaul University College of Law in 1983. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Illinois at Chicago.She was an active member of Our Saviour"s Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights. She and her husband Joe were active with the Frontier Festival in Arlington Heights and also with The Buddy Foundation Animal Shelter. She loved movies, music and Broadway shows. She had a special place in her heart for all of the children who participated in the children"s church choirs. She also loved the color red. Naseem and Joe loved to spend time traveling together all over the world. Visitation Friday, February 19, 2016, from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday February 20, 2016 from 10:00 am until the time of the 11:00 am Memorial Service at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1234 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to The Buddy Foundation, 65 West Seegers Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005.
