Dear Bill, Shari and Mark, 
I am just heartbroken to hear of Sally's passing. As you know, and probably have heard many times over, she was probably the sweetest person any of us knew. She was an amazing Art Teacher, but I knew her better as a Kilmer parent - always willing to lend a hand, volunteer in classrooms when she could, and be there for Shari and Mark, as well as so many hundreds (thousands??) of children. She is truly a person who made a difference! 

Sally also made the beautiful stained glass windows that were hung in the Kilmer LMC (and now in the Multipurpose Room), in memory of or in honor of Kilmer Staff Members. I am honored that there is one for me, and will forever treasure it - I make sure to check on it when I go to Kilmer! 

I am sending you my deepest condolences, along with much love and many hugs. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.

Sally was one of the sweetest people I have ever met and all of my life. Through our correspondence she helped me make it alone through Covid. She was always positive, gentle and caring. I am so sorry for the loss of such a person in this world.

My Heart is broken knowing that Sally will no longer be in my life. We grew up together and shared in Christmas gatherings, Birthday parties and family gatherings. Her bear hugs and beautiful laughter are something I will treasure forever. Even though we lived a distance away , we were always able to pick up where we left off. Sally being the Art Teacher and me being a Music Teacher we always had things to talk about! 
I remember her love of purple and how she painted purple and pink flowers into a beautiful painting for our Wedding!
I will always remember these precious times and hold them close to my heart. 
My thoughts are with her Mother my  dear Godmother Jeanne and the entire Maas  and Stewart Family.

My deepest condolences to you all.  I had the pleasure of getting to know  Sally as she volunteered  for me providing art projects for the residents at the Lutheran Home.  She had a beautiful smile, a friendly soul and was so talented.  May all the wonderful memories give you some peace at this time.

My heart is broken knowing that Sally is no longer with us.  What a blessing it was to have her as a friend and colleague.   We began teaching together at Twain and I had the honor of working with Sally again at Cooper.  I have a beautiful stained glass piece that Sally made for me after her show in Buffalo Grove.  The sun shines through it every morning and I think of Sally.   My deepest condolences and heartfelt tears for the depth of your loss.

Sally was one of the first people I met when I moved from my small town in Canada to Chicago. She always had a beautiful smile, infectious laugh and her hugs were known far and wide. She made you feel welcomed in her home and wanted to hear all about what was going on in your life. I will cherish the Christmas craft shows we attended together and the stories of her family whom she loved so dearly.  Love to Bill, Sheri and Mark.

Dear Bill, Shari, Mark, Riley and Jean,
Right now the sun is shining brightly and I am looking at beautiful flowers on my table.  I am also thinking of Sally and how she so loved brilliant colors and saw the beauty within flowers and nature and people too.  Her love and joy were shared so freely.
She was my son's art teacher at Mark Twain School and taught him so much including how you can take an idea that is in your head and then create it as a piece of art.  She encouraged her students, and her family and friends, to do do the best you can.....always.  Sally was one of the first people I met when I became an employee with her at Cooper Middle School.  We became good friends and I will always value the beauty of our friendship.   May Peace be with you today and Always.

I am so very sad to learn of your loss.  Sally was such a constant source of sunshine, smiles, and laughter at Cooper.  She was a pleasure to have as a colleague and as a parent, too.
