So Ha was the devoted wife of 36 years to Angus C. Gray and the former wife of Kwan H. Moy. She was the caring mother of Yei (Connie) Moy and Lai (Cherry) Moy, and the stepmother of Angus D. (Anahi) Gray. She was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren — Cynthia, Stephen, Michael, Katie, Matthew, Rebecca, Camilla, Makayla, Angus III, and Jenessa — and the great-grandmother of Kairo.
So Ha was the daughter of Tung Lo and Yu Woon (Wong) Lo, and the third oldest of eight siblings: So Ling (Chi Keung) Wai, Chiu Wang (Kit Ling) Lo, Chiu Kuen (May Lin) Lo, So Yung (Shiu) Li, Chiu Sun (Oi San) Lo, Chiu Cheung (Duan Na) Lo, and Soo Wan (Sik Ming) Yee.
She was also an aunt to eleven nieces and nephews — Lai Chi Wai, Man Tsun (Mei) Lo, Tammy (Ryan) Lee, Mansuen (Kwok Wing) Chan, Chung Hang Lo, Joyce (John) Zhen, William Li, Chi Yuen (Peony) Lo, Chuck (Sally) Lo, Michell (Adekunle) Cole, and Betty (Kennex) Wong — and a great-aunt to fourteen grandnieces and grandnephews.
Family was at the heart of everything So Ha did; she was deeply family oriented and devoted her life to caring for and supporting those she loved. She was an excellent cook who took great joy in hosting and sharing her favorite Chinese dishes with family and friends.
Early in her life, So Ha was a homemaker. She later worked in Chinese restaurants, made caramel apples and other confections at Affy Tapple, and eventually retired early after a career in distribution. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Angus C. Gray, to Japan, China, Australia, Hawaii, Alaska, Scotland, Ireland, the Mediterranean, and the Caribbean. In her free time, she loved gardening, fishing with her husband in Canada, Florida, and Lake Michigan, and attending her grandchildren’s activities.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association or other lung related charitable organizations in her name.
