

Born August 14, 1928 to Verner O. Henry and Edna C. Henry in Albert Lea, MN, Virginia worked as a stewardess for Braniff Airlines after attending Stephens College before marrying Jim and settling with him in Arlington Heights to raise their 3 children.An exemplary "Fifties" mother and homemaker, Virginia put family first. Always. Energetic, active, stylish, organized, a great cook and hostess with a talent for design and decorating, she made her home a warm, welcoming place for family and friends.
Over the years, she accompanied Jim, sr vice president of advertising for Kraft Foods, on business trips to many interesting places and events, e.g., the Country Music Awards, Junior Miss Scholastic Pageant, to Europe and the White House, where they met President Reagan. She went to Jazzercize regularly, attended the Wellness Center, enjoyed Questers Antique Club, and was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church.She and Jim loved the Southwest and traveled to Albuquerque, New Mexico frequently for family vacations. Never gone for long, the couple's favorite spot was home in AH.
She's preceded in death by Jim, her sister Elaine Berglund of Albuquerque, and her parents.Virginia gave endlessly of herself to her family, leaving a huge hole in their hearts. She is survived by daughter Linda (Bill) and their son Garrett; son William Blocki, DDS, and his daughters Brooke and son Richard S. (Ginny) and their sons Ryan and Collin. One day they will join her to all be together with the Lord Jesus.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 18 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Hts. Rd, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Interment Rosehill Cemetery.
