Bruce chose to join the Navy in 1968, proudly serving his country through five tours in Vietnam before being honorably discharged. Bruce’s career as an engineer settled his family in Arlington, Texas in 1988. He was a life-long car aficionado and spent many hours with his son Mike, passing on his mechanical skills and love of all vehicles.
Bruce was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church where he enjoyed working with the Men’s Club and volunteering for various events in the Parish. Bruce left a lasting impression on the young men he mentored through Boy Scouts.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Rebecca Trainowski; brother Dennis Trainowski; sons Paul and Mike (Amy) Trainowski; grandsons Josh, Victor and Luke Trainowski and many extended family members.
A Celebration Of Life will be held at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home in Arlington, TX on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm (Rosary 5- 5:20pm). The Memorial Mass will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 12 Noon. (5814 W Pleasant Ridge Rd. Arlington, TX 76016)
Interment at the Dallas- Fort Worth National Cemetery at a date/time to be determined.
