Sue and I became friends in elementary school, at Lisbon, we continued our friendship all the way through high school at South Oak Cliff H.S.  We may not have kept in touch very much, because i live in Oregon, and her in Texas. But i do remember coming home for a visit and she and i and Patricia Saunders all went out to eat at  this BBQ place. We three laughed about going to school, and the things we did as kids! Sue was a good friend to me in school, I know she will be missed so much by her family. My prayers and thoughts are with James, and to all his family. Your mom was the nicest friend a person could have, and she was so funny, she always kept me laughing in school.  May God bless this family of Dena Sue Samples Barnes.

There is no one time I think of when I think of Sue.  She, Ginger and I had so many fun and funny moments.  I do remember the first time we met and how we just immediately bonded.   I will never forget how she asked to watch Krissy when Skip retired from the Navy and we needed to go to Ala. for Skip to interview for a job.  Krissy had to stay behind for school.  Sue bit off a lot because Krissy was so young and so hyper.  I would call to check on how things were going and she would say, "Things are fine and I could hear Krissy in the background.  Sue was a good friend and I am so sorry her sweet life was cut so short.  See you in Heaven one day Sue.
