Eugenia was born on 9th June 1983 to Mr. Charles Ato Ross (of blessed memory) and Madam Vida Anka. From her earliest days, she embodied the values of discipline, humility, and determination, qualities that would define her remarkable journey through life.
Her educational path began at Anglican Kindergarten and Nursery in 1987, after which she attended Suhum L.A. Basic School. She later continued at Star of Suhum, where she successfully completed her BECE in 1998. Her pursuit of excellence led her to Aburi Girls’ Senior High School, where she was a proud member of Baradel House and studied General Arts, completing in 2001.
With a deep passion for knowledge, Eugenia gained admission to the University of Cape Coast in 2003, where she pursued Philosophy with French. She graduated in August 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Classics and Philosophy, equipped with a sharp mind and a thoughtful outlook on life.
Following her studies, she served her nation diligently. She worked as a Passport Specialist at the Department of State, Ghana, and later undertook her national service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in February 2008 as an Administrative Assistant, where her dedication and professionalism stood out.
In 2011, Eugenia relocated to the United States of America, where she embraced a new chapter filled with opportunities and blessings. There, she met and married her beloved husband, Mr. Michael Kwadwo Acheampong. Together, they built a beautiful family and were blessed with four wonderful children, Kayleb, Keziah, Elias, and Esias, who were the pride and joy of her life.
In 2012, her mother, Madam Vida Anka, joined her in Boston, Massachusetts, providing love and support as Eugenia nurtured her growing family. Eugenia’s home was one of warmth, unity, and deep affection.
Driven by her desire for growth and excellence, Eugenia furthered her education at Northeastern University, Boston, where she earned a Master of Science in Project Management in March 2018. Her commitment to professional excellence was crowned with her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in December 2020.
Eugenia’s career in the United States was distinguished and impactful. She served as a Project Coordinator at HEDOS/BMC HealthNet and later at UMass Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts. Her expertise led her to National Grid in Waltham, Massachusetts, where she worked as a Project Analyst in Digital Risk and Cyber Security and rose to become a Project Change Manager, Scrum Master, and Infrastructure Solutions professional in December 2021.
She also served with dedication at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) as a Project Coordinator, from April 2021 until her untimely departure in 2026. In every role she held, Eugenia demonstrated excellence, diligence, and integrity, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and all who encountered her.
Beyond her professional achievements, Eugenia will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her kindness, her resilience, and her deep love for her family. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a cherished daughter, and a loyal friend. Her life was a shining example of purpose, faith, and service.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in the life she lived and the legacy she leaves behind. Her impact will continue to resonate through her children, her family, and the many lives she touched.
May the Lord grant her eternal rest, and may her soul find peace in His everlasting presence.
