Geoff was born June 17, 1945, in Dallas to G.W. Brown Jr. and Dorothy Edith Herbert Brown. The family lived in many locations due to his father's military service. His family moved to Arlington, Texas, from Arlington, Va., in 1962. After graduating from Arlington High in 1963, he attended Tarleton State College and then East Texas State (now Texas A&M-Commerce). He married his high school sweetheart, Linda Paulette Oldham, in 1965. Their son, Stephen, was born while they attended school. Geoff received his bachelor's in finance in 1968 and moved his family to Arlington and began working at LTV. He returned to school at UT Arlington and received a degree in microbiology. During this time, their second child, Carrie, was born. He went to work for the city of Dallas in water purification. Geoff then worked at Unitron for 25 years before retiring.
Geoff was very outgoing and was always ready to help anyone in need. He adored his two granddaughters, Taylor and Kylie, and they thought their Papa hung the moon. He was an avid Cowboys and Rangers fan. He and Linda never missed watching a game. Geoff loved watching western and war movies, listening to 1950s' rock 'n' roll and country music, going to Winstar and riding in his convertible with the top down. We will miss your laughter, joking and hugs. We love you!
Geoff was preceded in death by his mother and father and maternal and fraternal grandparents.
