

Helen Caroline Post Jiles went home to be with the Lord on September 6th, 2025, at age 90. Helen passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.
Born on January 6, 1935, in Prescott, Arizona, to John Hazen Post Sr. and Jessie Peace Dunlap Post. Helen pursued her education in Prescott and Riverside, California, and furthered her studies at Arizona State University in Tempe.
It was in 1959, while in San Diego, California, that she met the love of her life, Jeff Jiles. The couple married in 1960 at her parents' home in Riverside, CA, beginning a lifelong partnership. They raised 3 children - Robert, Cheryl, and Scott.
Helen dedicated 21 years to a distinguished career at General Dynamics (now Lockheed Martin), primarily at the Fort Worth Aeronautics plant. Her leadership shone through her active role in the Management Association and her four-year tenure on the Board of Directors.
After retiring, she continued to serve her community as a member of the Tarrant County College Senior Citizen Education Advisory Council at the Arlington campus, where she acted as Council secretary for seven years. Helen loved helping children. She volunteered at Kooken Education Center in Arlington, serving weekly in the preschool program for children with disabilities. She also served in the children’s ministry at Fielder Church for more than a decade.
Helen was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jeff Jiles; her parents; her brother, John Hazen Post Jr., her sister, Nancy Post Teague, and her granddaughter, Taylor Caroline Jiles. Helen is survived by her sisters Barbara Post Eckhart (102), and Marjorie Post Howell Allan (97). And her children Robert Jiles and his wife Sue, Cheryl Jiles Mullen, and Jeffery Scott Jiles and his wife Melissa. And her grandchildren: Billie Jiles, Samuel Jiles, Shannon Mullen, Billy Mullen, Paige Jiles, and Clayton Jiles. And by her great-grandchildren Dustin, Leilani, and Liam Mullen.
A funeral service and celebration of Helen’s remarkable life will be held at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home in Arlington Tx on September 19th at 11am with a reception to follow.
