

Maxine Sorrell Ostrowski, age 85 of Arlington, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Sunday, January 26, 2025. She was born January 9, 1940 in San Angelo, Texas daughter of the late J.C. and Mary Sorrell.
Maxine loved her family and made them the priority of her life. She is survived by daughter, Rhonda Rene McCulley and husband John McCulley; son, Karl Francis Ostrowski and wife Shanelle Ostrowski; daughter, Amy Lynn Maiuro and Chris Kinsel; grandchildren, Megan Kidder (Cameron), Micah McCulley (Rebekkah), Ryan Maiuro, Sammy Maiuro, Maya Ostrowski, and Jack Ostrowski; great-grandchildren Ethan Kidder, Nate Kidder, Astrid McCulley and Easton McCulley. She is also survived by her sister Joann Pfluger and many nieces and nephews.
Maxine grew up on a ranch near Eden, Texas. She attended school there and graduated from Eden High School where she was involved in various sports, cheerleading and other activities. She attended North Texas Women College briefly prior to marrying Calvin Rozzlle and moving to Enid, Oklahoma. After returning to Texas they began their family and resided in the San Angelo area. After divorcing, Maxine worked as a dental hygienist & raising her daughter Rene until marrying Frank P. Ostrowski. Maxine then shifted her focus to becoming a full time homemaker. After relocating for a period of time to Somerset, New Jersey, where her son Karl was born, they returned to Arlington, Texas. It was then that Maxine’s family grew with the addition of her daughter Amy. Maxine was very artistic and had many hobbies during this time. After her divorce, Maxine had attended a business school, had various temporary positions and was employed at Walmart for 18 years before retiring. In retirement she enjoyed getting together with her family, most of all. When she wasn’t with her family she loved working in her yard and taking pride in her home.
A celebration of Maxine’s life will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Moore & Sons Funeral Home Bowen Rd, Chapel, 4216 S. Bowen Rd., Arlington, TX 76016.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
