

Memorial service: 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Arlington.

Phil was a proud sixth-generation native Texan and former Marine. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the Longhorns, Cowboys and Rangers with family and friends. His passion for family ignited an interest in genealogy and volunteer work with historical heritage organizations such as the Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of the Republic of Texas and Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was a graduate of UT-Arlington with a degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA. He formed Lagniappe Manufacturing Co. and Pegasus Professional Services.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Lois Johnson.
Survivors: He leaves behind his wife of almost 44 years, Vivian Johnson; sons, Dr. Mike Johnson and wife, Michele, of San Angelo and Matt Johnson of Arlington, and grandsons, Cody and Owen Johnson of San Angelo. Also mourning his loss are his brothers, Ken Johnson and Bo Johnson of Wichita Falls; and numerous loving family members, friends and caregivers.
