

Rose Mary Gaby, age 83, of Arlington, Texas, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on January 20, 2026, in Bowie, Texas. She was born on April 7, 1942, in Sydney, Texas, to Hubert Humie Hancock and Rubye Lee Kilgore Hancock.
Rose Mary lived a life filled with faith, love, and joy. A strong Christian, she trusted deeply in God and lived out her faith through kindness, hospitality, and devotion to family and friends. She had a warm spirit and an infectious love of life that touched everyone who knew her.
She attended Polytechnic High School and later worked for American Airlines, where she formed many lifelong friendships and inspired a love of travel in those around her. Her career allowed her to explore the world, something she truly cherished.
Rose Mary had a passion for dancing, adored Elvis Presley, and loved traveling. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and friends and was well known for hosting memorable parties filled with laughter, music, and love. Her home was always a place of welcome.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Humie Hancock and Rubye Lee Kilgore; her siblings, Wendell, Dorothy, Joyce, and Vada; and her beloved husband, Ben Gaby Jr.
She is survived by her children, Bengie Jaresh, Daisy Gates, and Mary Jane Fulton; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom were the pride and joy of her life.
A Celebration of Life service will take place on Thursday, January 29, at 1:30 p.m., with burial to follow at Hawkins Cemetery in Arlington, Texas.
Rose Mary will be remembered for her joyful spirit, her unwavering faith, and the love she poured into her family and all who were blessed to know her.
