Aunt Sylvia was truly a gem. She was always giving of herself to others and giving of her possessions. There was nothing that she would withhold if someone was in need. 
Her love was obvious in her kind spirit and her cheerful countenance. Even in the times when she was serious, she always taught lessons just by watching her work as hard as she did. And she also taught us not to be shy in yelling out "Medio Priceo!" or however you spell it! LOL 
It felt ridiculous but you couldnt say no to Aunt Sylvia! :) 
She also used to help us out if we needed anything. I remember when we were young and Amy wanted to take us to Vacation Bible School at Possum Kingdom and Tia Sylvia knew that we needed to raise money for the trip, she called us over and told us that we could help her clean her house to earn the money. She taught us how to value and appreciate the accomplishment and reward of hard work. 
She used to tell me not to sit down so much that I was young and that I had more energy than she did! LOL, she always said funny things like that. 
But really, she really did seem to have more energy than anyone else I know even now. 
Another time, we were at Traders Village and I realized when I got to my car that my gas light was on. Silly me forgot to put gas in. I told her about it, and she followed me to the gas station to make sure that I didn't break down on the highway. 
I remember when I pulled in, I told her thank you and she smiled at me, and I swear I can see that image of her smiling at me as clearly as I did the day that it happened even now.  I'll never forget it. And then she drove away only after seeing that I was all right.  
She was just so sweet, caring and thoughtful.
I miss her and she will truly be missed during this holiday season.

Amy and Amanda:

I know how difficult it is for the both of you.  When we lost Buela, our life came to a halt.  We could not comprehend how we would make it without her.  I know it was hard for my sisters and brother since they lived in the same town and saw her more than me.  Even though there were miles between us, there was not a day that went by that she and I would speak on the phone.  

Going home for me was both joyous and sad.  Happy to be among my family but home was not ever the same.  The house had lost its radiance.  You see, Mom was our light and she made our home come alive.  

My sister was so much like Buela.  To me, she looked and had many of Mom's qualities.  You could say, Buela's memory lived on because of my sister.  

Mom has been gone for many years but the pain does not go away.  It seems like it was yesterday that it happened.  I still cry for her because I miss her.  Having my sisters and brother eased the pain.  You too, will experience her loss for years too come, but we are here for you both.  You can count on us for love and support
  
She would want for me to be by your sides.  If you need ANYTHING, I am only a call or text away.

WORDS SPOKEN AT THE FUNERAL:

My sister meant the world to me. Being the big sister, I always looked out for her.  I was there to defend and give moral support.  But she too, never left my side.

I would tell everyone that my siblings were so lucky.  But Sylvia's was greater.  She would come home with presents galore or win a large amount of money.  But in my heart I knew that it was not luck but God's blessings for all the fruits of her labor.  You know, my Sister had a heart of gold.

We had made plans for when we retired or if Amanda got married.  It was not meant to be for God had his plan.  Our loved ones are rejoicing in heaven for she is among them.

Sister, my heart aches because I want you by my side.  I miss you terribly.  Sister, I love you so much.

Amy, I am so sorry for what you are going through. Thank you for calling that night. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers. I remember your Mom as pretty, funny,and very serious about her Traders Village:) If you look at yourself and the kids, you will see more of your Mom in you than ever before..

I am so sorry Amy to hear about your Mom, I know she was precious to you and so many others.  Let me know if you need anything!!

Thank you everyone for the kind words and all of your prayers. My nana was a amazing person and her soul will live on! Shes the only one who really understood me and i still promise to this day, we DO look a like. :) i love you nana and ill be thinking and talking to you offen!

We are deeply saddened by Sylvia's passing. She was a wonderful person. Her smile will carry on in our minds and in our hearts. She touched us deeply even if for a while. I was terribly shocked to hear the news of Sylvia's passing.  She bowled with my parents, Tony & Mickey Trujillo for years at Park Plaza Bowl. She always had a beautiful smile on her face and a kind word.  I only have fond memories of her and being childhood friends with her daughter Amy.  My deepest heartfelt sympathies to her family and loved ones.  You are in my thoughts and prayers always.

She was just a wonderful person and her girls were everything to her. God has many rooms in his home and had one prepared especially for Sylvia and needed her in heaven to do his work as an angel. I am just so sorry for your loss. To her daughters, stay strong and keep faith in the Lord. He will guide you with your mother along side.
