On Thursday, July 4, 2013, BETTIE ROSE WALSH of Warrenton, VA (formerly of Arlington, VA) was set free from her pain on the day we celebrate FREEDOM in this country, she was 88. Bettie was born on October 3, 1924 in Thomas, WV but lived the majority of her life in Arlington. She was a devoted and loving housewife, mother and grandmother and will be terribly missed but as hard as it is, we are grateful she is no longer suffering. Bettie was preceded in death by her father Harry Rose, mother Maude Mary Barnes Rose, some siblings and one of her grandson’s Brock Walsh. She is survived by her husband Marcellus Walsh, daughter Amy Walsh and grandson Scott Walsh. On Thursday, July 11, 2013, funeral services were held at Murphy’s Funeral Home and she was then laid to rest at Columbia Gardens Cemetery (both of which are located in Arlington, VA.)
