I'm so sorry for your lost Mrs. Bauman was inspiriting person that got me threw some rough time in my live. 
She always talk about you and was so proud of you. I have always been thankful for her conversation about live and advised she gave me. She was like a mother that I could ask for advice without been judges. That mends the world to me. Thank you Mrs. Bauman.

I just recently happened to search for Edyn on Facebook, decades after she was my English teacher at Stratford Jr. High, and am so sad to find that she has just passed on. I think I may have been in the very first English class she taught as a full-time teacher, in 1968. I've gone all the way through my PhD and still remember her as one of the very best teachers I've ever had - warm, inspiring, funny, challenging in the best way. Many warm condolences to her family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear that Ms. Bauman passed away. I have many wonderful memories from her English class at W-L. She made everything so fun that I went on to become an English major in college. She wrote my recommendation! Whitney, we've never met but I really feel your loss. I hope your happy memories bring you comfort during this difficult time.

I first met Ms. Bauman while she was an English teacher at Strafford Jr. High.  She moved to W-L High School the same year we 8th graders moved into 9th grade.  

We worked together with the Arlington Police Youth Resource Unit on food drives, coat drives and toys at Christmas time.  

Edyn (I called her Edyn outside of school) became a very dear friend.  She was there for me through the ups and downs of adolescence, the trials of high school friendships and first loves.  She was always there with a strong shoulder, open ear, sage advise and a loving hug.  

I graduated in 1982. We shared a lot of laughs and tears during my 4 years of high school, but our friendship carried on past high school.

Edyn was a one-of-a-kind woman - setting an example of friendship, kindness, lady-like behavior, grace and was a lovely person.  

She always cared for all us kids, and all her friends. Edyn was a wonderful teacher, person and friend. I will miss her.

I saw her a couple months ago at the consignment store in Westover and had the opportunity to introduce her to my husband - I was so happy I was able to do that. 

Whitney & Kent - She loved you both and was so proud of you - her face lit up whenever she spoke of you and your families.  I keep her and you in my prayers knowing she is at peace.

I first met Ms. Bauman at Stafford Jr. High School. She followed me to high school, W-L. She was a great teacher and a wonderful person. I was a loudmouthed kid who always had something to say (during class). Many a trip to the principal's office. She took the time,patience and understanding for me that I needed. I truly believe that if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have made it out of high school with a diploma. I graduated in 1982 Washington-Lee.

I had Mrs. Bauman for English. I always remember her as a kind and understanding person. She was one of those teachers everyone loved. The thing that stood out most about her was her quiet dignity. My prayers are with her family.

Whitney - I am caught betwixt and between as they say - I am saddened by the loss of my friend who lent me her courage when I had none, shared her inner strength when I felt transparent and threadbare, righted me when I felt lopsided and never left me alone even when I pushed her away.....I think that sometimes she pulled me through my treatment by sheer will power, refusing to accept that quitting was an alternative. If I complained that I was tired she always had a flip comeback - and often it was simply, "So what" as if to say, Get on with it girl, nothing can stop you if you just keep going. 

She kept going for a long time and that is the other half of the betwixt and between...no more pain, so in my sadness, I find some comfort in knowing that she can finally rest.

I will not forget her kindness, even in her own dark moments, she was always there for me to talk to - what an amazing woman, my bridge over troubled waters. 

It is my hope that you find some peace in knowing that your Mom was loved and honored by many.  I will miss her and yet I know I will hear her voice whenever I need a little encouragement.

Although I did not know your mother, very recently I learned that she and I shared our heritage.  My grandmother, Rosa, was her great grandmother.  How I wish I could have met Edyn.  Please accept my most heartfelt and sincerest sympathy.

Edyn was my English teacher at Stratford Jr. High in 7th grade, 1973-1974.  I still remember where her classroom was located just inside the main entrance to the left of the stairs.  This was one of my absolute favorite teachers at Stratford. Our friendship continued every time I would see her at W-L.  You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

All smiling and all embracing Edyn. I met Edyn at an estate sale and she drew me like a magnet to her love of family history. She sought and found her ancestors and cousins. She sought and found empowerment for her dear Whitney for posterity and in the process touched my life. I pray for comfort for her family and friends in this time of grief and I believe that she is the guest of honor at the great family reunion, rejoicing in her precious life.

Edyn, it has been an honor and privilege.

I'll always remember Edyn. In spite of the pain she endured, she seemed to be always smiling. She was a hard worker setting up estate sales and during the sale she made customers feel welcome. Now the pain is gone, and I'm sure she's still smiling.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was the best. She aways thought the world of you and I often had a hard time getting a word in edgewise after she got started talking about you. 
She is one of the reasons I made my second career education. After I convinced my wife I could make the change, I called my dad and then your mom. 

I love and miss her much.
