Kathleen M. Rowan, age 80, passed away unexpectedly on February 15, 2026. Born on Valentine's Day 1947 to William Charles and Dorothy Andress Rowan in the District of Columbia, she was a lifelong resident of Arlington, a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church from its founding, and avid fan of Washington's sports teams. Kathy worked on Capital Hill, in the Ford White House, and for over 35 years served as executive assistant to the president of the Heritage Foundation. Her memory will be cherished by her former colleagues, neighbors and extended family. Kathy is survived by her siblings: Michael and Janet Rowan; Teresa and Bill Bennett, Daniel and Susan Rowan, and Christeen and Michael Flowers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities or the American Cancer Society.
