

COL Kelly M. Langdorf (USA, Ret), 65, of Fairfax, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 30, 2022. He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, P. Jan Langdorf (nee Reese), his son, Jason M. Langdorf (Jessica), grandson Cole W. Langdorf, and his siblings Shawn Langdorf, Kim Langdorf (Barbara), Scott Langdorf (Sandy), and Susan Walley (Paul).
He was predeceased by his daughter, Christina D. Langdorf, his father, Clarence W. Langdorf and mother, Arva J. Langdorf (nee Alldredge).
He had a decorated military career of more than thirty-four years, admirable discipline, and always kept the posture of a soldier. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather, and mentor to many. He enjoyed spending his time with nature, hiking, walking, birdwatching, swimming, and fishing with his son and grandson. He loved to travel and experience different cultures, had a very dry sense of humor, was an avid reader of all genres, especially the classics and non-fiction books, and was an excellent UNO card player who changed the rules to make it more difficult to play. He also participated in Wreaths Across America annually and donated to many charities. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Kelly's final resting place will be at Arlington National Cemetery, burial to take place on October 11, 2022 at 1pm.
