Leslie Halim Samaha, 92 of Ocala, Florida, was called to eternal rest on October 22, 2017. Leslie was born on June 6, 1925, to the late Hazel and Halim Samaha and grew up with his younger sister, the late Elaine Samaha Tooma and his extended family in Arlington, Virginia, where he married his devoted first love, the late Thelma Simon Samaha. He is survived by his dedicated and devoted daughters, Christine Weber (Stephen) and Patricia Taylor (Steven), his treasured grandchildren, Steve Weber (Susie), Lisa Weber, and Jessica Taylor Shade (Jesse), as well as his loving and adored niece, Linda Tooma. He was predeceased by his other adoring niece, Sister Lynn Tooma, SSND. He was fortunate to find love a second time with the late Marie Antoinette Samaha and they married in 1994. He was blessed to gain two loving step-daughters Talya Schuster (Mike) and Michele Dorazio (Preston), as well as their treasured children Amy Schuster Ochoa (Luis) and their children Peyton and Piper, Michael Schuster (Kristin), Thomas Dorazio(Nina), and Colin Dorazio. Leslie also leaves behind his faithful companion, happiest dog ever, Daisy. Leslie was described by many as the most generous man they ever knew, as well as the most loving and gentle of people. Although portions will need to be drastically reduced, many will continue to enjoy his delicious Lebanese meals, as he left behind his handwritten recipes to be shared with future generations to come. We will treasure the memories of watching him enjoy days on the water fishing and crabbing, as well as his love of lamb chops, driving for hours on end, and those many trips to the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa! A visitation will be held at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA on Sunday, October 29th from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm . A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, 5300 North 10th St., Arlington, VA on Monday, October 30th at 11:00 AM. Internment will be at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA.
